Database

Tablets in the Collection have been catalogued on a sophisticated electronic database, made possible by a National Endowment for the Humanities Access to Collections grant (1988-1996).  Most tablets are now electronically searchable on-site, under such rubrics as text type, date, period, and keywords.  Expansion of the database to enable off-site access is anticipated.  In addition, four printed volumes cataloguing texts by period and collection have appeared in a series entitled Catalogue of the Babylonian Collections at Yale; additional volumes are in preparation.
